As part of our celebrations this year, we did something a little different for our Christmas party. With inspiration taken from the Thomas Crown Affair and our HR director's 10 year old son, we headed out onto the streets of Bath to perform a themed flash mob. Dressed as businessmen in bowler hats and guided by the amazing Natural Theatre Company, our 35-strong team set out amongst the Christmas shoppers to spread a little joy.
The aim for our party was to create memorable experiences and to put smiles on faces; both within the company and for the public that we met en-route through the city. The Natural Theatre Company are very much about brightening up the world around them and we seized an opportunity to be part of it.
The costumes were based around our Mystery Dining Company logo, the anonymous man in the bowler hat. All of our team dressed up identically, donning carnations and moustaches (where necessary!) and we spent the afternoon learning how to walk, talk and act like our characters.
The smiles, comments and confused looks from the public were priceless and created quite the conversation between the team afterwards. It was certainly a once in a lifetime experience, so a huge thank you to The Natural Theatre Company for orchestrating such a fantastic day.
